At four weeks of age, my newborn officially has her first game she likes to play.
To give credit where credit's due, the game was created two nights ago by my hubby, in one of his many inventive attempts to get Little Miss to stop crying. And it actually worked. So when my sweet baby girl was in a playful mood this morning up on her changing table, I took a few minutes to play the game, and I swear--truly swear--that she was smiling in response (and not just from gas).
Here's how it works:
1. Gobble up infant's clenched fist.
2. Wait for infant to catch on and start offering up her fist.
3. Pause to adore infant's enamored face.
4. Repeat ad infinitum.
Now, this last picture has nothing whatsoever to do with the game. It's just the moment she stared straight at me, and loudly shat her pants.
So maybe it was gas after all.
