Don't be fooled by the closed eyes. Approximately 2.5 seconds after I snapped this pic, she shot them open and began to--quite loudly--convey how much she did not want to sleep in her crib.
And here's where she ended her nap:
She used that foot-planted, body-arched, anger-induced method of covering the distance--and executing a quite impressive 90-degree turn, I might add. She positioned herself perfectly so that all she had to do was open those tiny peepers of hers and she'd spot me sneaking in the bedroom door (which, I risked life and limb and eardrums to do, just so I could take this pic when she finally, finally succumbed).
For the record, she repeated this same repositioning move this evening when I put her down for bedtime.
It's kind of a riot.
And kind of a work out (for her).
And kind of a pain, since I have to reposition the monitor every time.
But she's so freaking cute. And I guess I should be flattered that she wants to keep watch for that moment when her Daddy or I eventually come through that door ;)
