Yesterday, Baby Girl and I made a trip to The Christmas Wonderland (Hobby Lobby, duh).
We've been there together many times of course, but this was the first time we went with Baby Girl facing out--in the Bjorn (instead of in the Moby Wrap, since I keep forgetting to look up how to wrap it with the kiddo sitting on your hip instead of facing you, and that's not the sort of thing you just wanna make up on the fly).
She was in a daze, taking everything in and reaching with her cute little grabby fingertips.
She was sweet about it though, just exploring when Mama would hand her something to examine. I was looking to make new Christmas wreaths since the last ones I made have seen better years.
In the end, we made our purchase decisions like this: whatever Baby Girl really wanted to play with, we bought. And that pretty much amounted to glitter, sparkles, and more glitter. Sparkly purple ribbon, sparkly red ribbon, sparkly disco-ball looking red, green and purple ornaments, and glittery gold accent pieces.
It was like Christmas decoration-buying on crack.
And I dug it.
But I must say, the end result was quite nice (although these pictures don't really do the glitter justice--should've taken pics in the daylight). We made one ginormous wreath for the front door, and another smaller one to hang in between the two front windows (not shown below).
And then Chica passed out from the hype of the glitter and sparkles and decorations (see below for said hype).
