However, something comes over her during her witching hour (5:30-6:30 p.m.), especially if she's in her Jumperoo. She gets very annoyed with the bug that's attached to the seat, and she doesn't hesitate to vocalize said annoyance.
It's kind of a riot to watch--if not listen to--because she's so intense about it, and we have no idea why she's so annoyed. Does she want the bug to detach?? Does she want it to talk to her?? Does she want it to not taste like two months' worth of dried slobber and spit-up??
There are some questions in life best left unanswered...and in the meantime, there's always an iPhone nearby to capture video to share with Baby Girl's friends years from now, when she's a teenager and in need of a good dose of embarrassment:
And while I'm in the mode of sharing cute yet incriminating evidence, I might as well admit that sometimes, on occasion, when Baby Girl is hungry, or tired of being in her car seat, or bored with her surroundings, or just in the mood to vocalize some angst, she also lectures her pacifier clip. And now, so I don't leave you with the impression I birthed a child with simmering anger issues, I shall post the usual happy, cute, baby photo that reflects her normal state of being. This one is from today, when we met Daddy for a quick lunch:
