And to celebrate, her Mama dragged her to the doctor for her six month checkup to get tons of shots, served up in six separate stabs. Poor, poor baby :(
But she took it like a champ, as always, and was weighed and measured and poked and prodded, as usual. Here are the stats:
- 27 inches long (88th percentile!)
- 14 pounds, 14 ounces (25th percentile, but that's up from the 13th percentile last visit)
Woo-hoo!
Luckily, us girls had another distraction today, above and beyond the doctor's appointment, and it didn't involve shots. It involved...presents!!!
Baby Girl's godmother and her mother came over for a visit to catch up and exchange gifts. And though Baby Girl got a couple of ADORABLE outfits and some fun, stackable, multi-colored cups to play with...screw her gifts. Let's talk about MINE!!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Look how be-a-u-tiful!!!!
It's a set of four gorgeous, Kurt Adler owl ornaments!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in love.
I think this blue one's my favorite.
Seriously. These pictures don't even do the stunning colors justice.
And their little bodies move a little when you jiggle them. They're just the best. ever.
When I showed them to the hubby tonight, he said, "Oh, they'll look so great in her nursery."
And I said, "her nursery! Noooo!! They're MINE!!!!!!!"
I'm mature like that.
And then I stopped to think about how perfect they actually would look in there, and the guilt set in.
And then the guilt turned to joy when I realized that if I "shared," then I could keep them out all year long, instead of only seeing them at Christmastime on the tree. So I might--might--share, but I can't commit to it yet.
A girl has to reserve the right to mull things over.
And now, for one final bonus pic--Daddy blowing funny, shot-healing kisses on Baby Girl's cute cheek:
Happy Monday, peeps!
Wait...it's Wednesday. Hehe.
