Easter Fun--Day 1

This holiday weekend, our little trio made the trek up to Tulsa for a visit with the fam, and man oh man are there pictures to share! So many, in fact, that I'm going to have to break them up into several post installments.

'Cause I have a kid to raise.

And a gigantic mountain of laundry to do.

And medical bills to scan and submit for Flex reimbursement.

And clothes to assemble for a donation pick-up.

And a new car registration to peel and place on my windshield.

And some apples and pears to puree.

Oh, who am I kidding? I've got to get this post done so I can sit on my fanny on the couch with the hubby and my brownie sundae and watch the Game of Thrones season premiere.

Priorities, peeps. It's all about setting priorities.

Just be happy I'm giving you this much for tonight :) And pretend it doesn't end abruptly with the last picture because I'm having technically difficulties and can't add any text at the very bottom.

Easter Fun-Day 1

Now, I should probably start by saying that I could have done an entire post about our method of transportation for this little weekend, because Baby Girl made her inaugural trip by...

AEROPLANE!

Yep. That's right. Aer-o-plane. Air-o-plane. Air. Are. O Plane.

"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."

So on Thursday, when packing for our little adventure, I sent this photo to all three grandparents, and every one of them responded immediately with a variation of: SHIP HER TO ME. NOW!

Hehe.

Alas...we decided to keep her with us, 'cause the shipping insurance was just a little too steep ;) And then early Friday morn, we hauled half of our earthly possessions into the car and made our way to the airport--where I learned that they let you through security with a child strapped to your chest in a Bjorn, and only require a quick sweep of the hands with a gadget do-hickey, to check for bomb residue. Interesting, eh?

So if I were an awesome Mama, I would've captured many moments of chica's big flight. But I only managed to get this one pic when we were about to make the descent. Naturally, she was being a responsible nine-month-old, checking to make sure that her tray table was locked and loaded for landing.

Now, if you're wondering why I'm not giving you a play-by-play of the flight, it's because chica was a ROCKSTAR. She was such a good baby throughout the whole ride. She pretty much just played and charmed the pants off of everybody sitting around us. Whew!

And after a quick nap once we reached Nanna's, she was still in a great mood to explore the mountain of toys that were once her Mama's (and her Uncles') that are way cooler than what she has at home.

Naturally, she had to taste each one:

And then she had to show off her mad standing skills in her new environment:

And then, after another nap somewhere in there, she put her pretty travel clothes back on for a dinner with some lovely extended family members, and some playtime with her Uncle. Here, she's plotting her move to snatch his glasses:
