Think Greek!

For no other reason than the hubby and I are a little nutty sometimes, this past weekend, we decided to teach Chica to say, "Opa!" and raise her arms above her head. You know, like she's an extra in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

(I repeat: I have no explanation for our parental behavior, other than silliness.)

But the silliness has apparently paid off, because it's so. dang. cute. to see Chica perform the celebratory move.

Here she is in the car (and no, I was NOT driving whilst taking this video of her, thankyouverymuch). She was a little less enthusiastic about the performance than she usually is, since she was quite nap-deprived, but you'll get the picture:

See? Pretty cute, eh?

But even cuter--yesterday, I went into the nursery when Chica was supposed to be napping, and found her standing in the corner of her crib, holding the cord to her monitor (that she'd managed to pry free from the wall, even though it was taped out of her reach). She just looked at me with the cord in one hand and raised her free hand and said, "Opa!"

We might have created a freaking adorable little monster.

;)

Happy Weekend, peeps!
