It really was no joke that we were fully iced in. Had it not warmed to 32 degrees yesterday, we wouldn't have been able to make it down the decline of our cul de sac.
Alas, we did, and the neighborhood roads were decent, but I was sad to see the demise of many tree limbs.
Only in Texas (or Oklahoma) could we have enjoyed the beautiful autumn landscape of the pond one afternoon before the ice hit the next. Sorry, Chica--it'll be awhile before we're back down there.
Luckily, my little nugget didn't fight me on the hood front today. I think she could feel the brrrrrr cold. Here she is giving her super-mean Mama a tiny wave despite said Mama being the cruelest parent on earth, leaving her child in the cold two seconds longer than necessary in order to snap this pic:
Don't worry. She warmed up. And enjoyed the landscape as we drove, I think.
But she enjoyed the warmth of home and couch a bit more ;)
Happy Monday, peeps.
