Hi, Daddy

So Chica started this thing several weeks ago where she waves all cutie-pie adorable-like and says, "Hi, Daddy," to get her beloved father's attention. It goes something like this:

She just love loves to do this while riding in the car.  But she also uses the move liberally when across the room, peeking down from the banister, sneaking up behind Daddy--or generally just trying to get him to look at her.

It really is heart-meltingly adorable when she gets the smile going with it, so it's a move I'm lovin' these days. With one minor exception...

You see, for some reason, Chica thinks that this, "Hi, Daddy," phrase is applicable to anyone--not just Daddy. Which is hilarious, since she clearly knows who Daddy is. And who Mama is. And who a handful of other people are by name. But when it comes to waving, everybody is "Hi, Daddy"--even me! Ha.

Lotta thanks I get for spending her every waking hour with her. I'll keep working on the, "Hi, Mama," but somehow, I think she's not going to be won over.
