Of course, the only thing that kept the project from taking, oh, about three months and ten thousands hours was the fact that the curtains themselves arrived like this:
Purposely twisted sheers that DON'T REQUIRE IRONING!!! (Do you hear choirs of angels singing The Halleluiah Chorus, or is that just me?? Just me? Okay, then.)
Seriously, though--ironing just isn't my thing (ask my husband, or mother, or brothers). I only resort to it when given no earthly alternative. So finding these fun, twisted sheers through Pottery Barn Teen was great for me on many levels, especially considering the decent price point.
I bought both a white and a lavender set because I thought it might be a lovely contrast to hang them side by side, with the added benefit of giving the windows a bit more ooomph. And I'm so pleased with the result.
There's still a bit to be done in the room, but it's finally to a point where it feels like a happy, girly space. So enjoy these couple pics for now (sorry about the not-great lighting), and I'll share more in detail, with some close-up shots, when it's all officially complete sometime soon.
Oh, and stay tuned for some updates on Chicklet's room in the near future :)
