My Mini Mechanic

The dome light in my car has been out for at least three years. Maybe four.

No idea what happened to it. One day, it just stopped lighting up when I opened my car door, and for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why.

Sure, the forced blackout was annoying at first--especially in the darkness of evening--but around the time of the malfunction, I just didn't want to deal with taking my car in to find out something electrical (read: expensive) was wrong.

And then, I just got used to not having it.

But yesterday, Chica played in the front seat with Daddy (While the car was parked and off. She just luuuuuuvs holding the steering wheel and messing with all the dials and blinkers and levers.) And, lo and behold...

she fixed my dome light.

No joke. The little booger found the one dial I hadn't and--hallelujah--LET THERE BE LIGHT!

It's kind of funny that the light feels, well, bright to me now, after not having it for so long. And yet, it's also kinda convenient--especially considering it was "fixed" for free.

On second thought--I'm sure Chica will give me the bill tomorrow morning when I hand over her morning milk. She's no fool.

;)

Happy Monday, peeps.
