Sighted the Bottom of My Laundry Basket:
(Seriously, peeps, this is just as ginormous as Columbus sighting land. I haven't even been able to close the lid for weeks. And yes, those are some of my undergarments, but pretend they're not.)
Snuggled With My Beloved Child:
I never get to hold her in my arms in this particular position anymore. She's too squirmy and usually wants to face outward. But today, I got to snuggle just like I used to for those glorious newborn months. Sigh. I love my life.
Enjoyed A Dinner Out With My Loves:
Daddy might have felt a tidbit guilty about stranding us for a second day--with a third on the horizon, I might add. So he made it home by 5:15 p.m. and took his ladies (all three of us!) for yummy pizza and sinfully delicious ice cream.
Other things I owe to the water pump: clean commodes all throughout the house, scrubbed master bathroom floors, a scrubbed laundry room, and Christmas tree ornaments taken down from the tree. (Up tomorrow--cleaning hardwood floors, removing Christmas tree lights...and hopefully a fun visit to the pond again).
Happy Stranded Thursday, peeps!
P.S. In totally unrelated news, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my baking child for situating high in my belly, for maybe the first time EVER!! Can I just say that it's heaven not to have her balled up down low. I have no idea why she's shifted, but I dig it. And perhaps I'll thank the broken car water pump...
Wow! Looks like that broken car water pump cloud has a silver lining after all. Sometimes all it takes is to actually have the things we’re so dependent on broken so that we get to realize that we’ve been a bit too preoccupied with our daily activities that we forget to reconnect with our family. :)
