Nursery, Nearly There!

So I can't remember the last update I posted regarding Chicklet's nursery (blame the dang pregnancy brain), but I'm thinking it was of the completed, redone tree on the wall, and possibly the glider that arrived around that time.

So, without further ado, I'll give you a ton of pics from this past weekend, when we managed to get the majority of the major items pulled together. Woohoo!

First, a view from the door so you can far the widest angle:

:)

The furniture finally arrived on Thursday, and I'm so pleased with it. It's a fun, warm grey that coordinates well with the peaches and mints of the room. And I love love the sleigh style of the crib--especially since it's a departure from the style of Chica's crib. It's nice to switch things up a bit:

We bought this mirror months and months ago, just cause we saw it one day and dug it, even though we had no idea where we'd put it. And then, voila!--it ended up working perfectly with the colors of the room. It's hard to get a great shot of it, but it's a fun mother-of-pearl type thing, with purples and greens and tans and all sort of shades in it:

Lastly, we found this fun birdcage shelf from PBKids and thought it would be a fun addition to display Chicklet's pretties. So far, we just have a clock, but I know we'll find other fun things when we're not looking (oh, and I added the flowers to coordinate with the Pom flowers on her tree):

I was worried Chica would be disappointed once the room started to come together, since she really really loved playing in the open space. But I'm happy to report that she still wanders in there quite often--and even loves camping out behind the glider, hehe. And, of course, she conducted her own inspection of the furniture after its arrival. So helpful, she is ;)

All in all, it's a relief to get the biggest chunk pulled together before the final weeks. We've still got the roman shade, ottoman, and a few other finishing touches to add, but that'll come with little stress.

And in the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy my precious quality time with my beloved firstborn:

Happy Monday, peeps!
