7 Weeks & Sayonara Dairy

Well, folks. It's official.

The hubby and I (and our poor, sweet girls) are doubly unlucky.

A milk protein allergy is present in approximately 2% of newborns (and apparently, less than .5% of breast feed newborns), and we've managed to birth not one, but two.

Yep. That's right. Today, after what will now be called Rock Bottom Weekend, we took one of Chicklet's diapers in for testing, and minutes later, got the news that she has the same allergy Chica did.

Oye, oye, oye, oye, oye.

When I asked the nurse if we were just that unlucky, or if there was a greater chance of a second child having the allergy, she laughed and said, "both."

Again, can I get an oye, oye, oye, oye, oye.

So, bye bye cheese.

I'll miss you like nobody's business.

Cafe mocha, my dear friend. I was drinking you sparingly since Chicklet's arrival ('cause I was scared of this), but now I've got to quit you.

("I wish I knew how to quit you!" Name that movie.)

I'm back to eating cardboard.

Yum (insert sarcasm here.)

Oh well. Been there, done that. This is apparently how I do life with babies.

And here's hoping it will give my sweet, sweet second born some relief.

But in the meantime, I'll happily dole out all the cuddles in the world until she feels better.

And this week's blooper:

:)
