4th of July--2014!

Okay, first, let me start off by saying--this was my beloved firstborn last 4th of July...

(She wasn't even walking!)

And this is her today...

Waaaaaaaah! ("Too soon, too soon, too soon [spit]"--name that movie!)

And this, my beloved secondborn, wasn't even of this world...

Time is precious, people. So precious.

You know what else is precious? Little ones on parade around the neighborhood pond. That's how we started off our day :)

Get on up, and move on out!

We were some of the last to arrive (as usual)...

Chicklet was there, too...

Chica did so great with her new ride, and all the kids looked precious in their patriotic colors.

The parade kicked off and things were going so well--until someone's golf cart took a dive into the pond. Yikes!

It was scary there for a second, even though the water was shallow, but thankfully, nobody was hurt. It sure did spice things up a bit, though!

And, yes, I'm the totally inappropriate woman who snapped a couple covert pics (I mean, come on--you gotta get a snap of that!) before a bunch of men dove in (literally) to haul the vehicle out.

Chica--along with everyone else--was riveted.

Alas, the parade eventually resumed. Snacks were had, friends were chatted up, and a family pic was captured:

Such a lovely way to start our Independence Day.

(I think Chica digs her new wheels, hehe.)

Oh, and we kept the fun going later when we busted out our good friend, the Jumperoo, for Chicklet!

Poor thing's like a sittin duck in there ;)

Love it.

Love my family.

Love holiday time together.

Happy 4th, peeps :)
