Rainy Day Baking

When life gives you rain (yay!), make lemonade.

No wait. That's not right.

How 'bout...

When rainy days come-a calling, do some toddler stalling (of boredom. Stall the boredom. Get it?).

Nope doesn't work either.

Just bake when it rains, okay, people?

Our selection for today? Glazed, sprinkled donut holes :)

Chica had little interest in the actual donut hole baking. But I lured her in later with the glaze and sprinkles.

Look at that precision...

Yep--pat 'em down...

Uh huh...those buggers stick to hands...

Are we surprised she leaned in for a taste? Um, no.

Now, that's more like it...

Eventually, a hands-on approach was needed...

Yum.

I think she mauled three before I made her stick to destroying just one ;)

I know, kid. No fair. You want one, too. Soon, my little nugget. Won't be long, now!

Oh, and, yes--Chica was cooking in her Doc McStuffins ensemble. Doctor, baker, candlestick maker ;)

And lastly, for this fine evening--in case, like my mother, you're curious about the donut hole recipe, I'll let you in on a little secret...

Yep. No shame here. They're sinfully good, peeps.

Happy Almost Friday!
