Ranch Ridin'

The scent of a pumpkin spiced candle is in the air, decorations are on the mantle, and we made a visit to a super fun ranch/pumpkin patch today.

Yep.

I got the memo.

Fall is-a comin'.

Now would somebody puh-lease tell this Texas weather!

(Though it wouldn't be a visit to get a pumpkin if we weren't hot and uncomfortable.)

This year, I found thisgreat little place only a few miles away from us that I thought Chica would love, and boy was I right. She heard me say "horsey" and she was sold--marching right out of the car, rearin' to go, hehe.

But the horsey rides would have to wait, because first on the agenda was a wagon ride through the property to this amazing little pioneer town.

Here we are sweating on the ride.

I think Chica was praying for a breeze.

Luckily, some trees eventually provided a bit of cover.

And then we were able to hop out and explore the fun replica buildings.

Then we packed it up and headed back to the front of the property for a quick stop at the bouncy houses (yay! But Chica was still way more interested in moving things along) before getting to the (drum roll, please) HORSES!

She did so great! She just climbed on and happily rode around--and even requested a change of horses so she could try out different colored ones--ha. Too bad the one she really wanted was over on a snack break ;)

She could have gone round and round if we weren't sweltering to death. Poor Chicklet just couldn't take too much heat strapped in the Bjorn. So we headed back to cover to pick out our pumpkin and head home for naps.

And now, for the cutest a pic ever of Chicklet at her first pumpkin patch:

All rosy cheeks and bright eyes :)

Love my girls.

Love doing new things as a fam.

Love this low-key place and hope to go back...in cooler weather!
