Sweet Siesta

My beautiful baby nugget is learning to crawl, which means, a) she's like a teeny tiny energizer bunny, and b) she's more restless in her crib when trying to fall asleep, because she just wants to practice, practice, practice.

So this afternoon, when she just couldn't settle for her nap, I hauled her out and down to the master bedroom to snuggle with me for the first time in ages and ages.

And...we both slept SO SOUNDLY.

I mean seriously, peeps--believe it or not, I haven't had a nap in a loooooong time, and this one was just perfect.

When I woke to the sounds of my eldest through the baby monitor, Chicklet was still deep in snuggle mode. Sigh. So I got to be creepy adoring mama taking sleeping pics :)

Such a special afternoon cuddle fest. I'm grateful (and a bit more rested, hehe).
