Cuh-RAZY Kids

Today was one of those days.

You know the kind. When the hubby finally comes home and you say, "Here. They're yours."

Except--major fail--he didn't get home until the girls' bedtime, so it was just me locked up with the nutty twosome for a weary afternoon. Because outside, it was doing this:

The day started with a traumatic visit to the pediatrician that was an hour's worth of WAILING.

No joke.

We were that family.

If it wasn't one girl crying, it was the other.

I left exhausted and thoroughly whipped, with two kiddos who were also exhausted, whipped, and puffy-eyed from bawling their bloody eyes out.

It didn't get much better when the eldest decided not to nap AT ALL, and the youngest, tried to get away with only 35 minutes.

Whadn't pretty. Not. At. All.

In their delirious, over-tired state, they did get slightly entertaining, though. In a slap-happy kinda way:

But like all slap-happy times, they crashed.

In other entertaining news (and I mean that as sarcastically as possible)--Chica's bug phobia continues.

See this little speck?

Of course you can't. 'Cause it's MICROSCOPIC. Lemme zoom in.

That teeny, tiny black speck on the table by her thumb. Yep--that-a one. Caused her to flap her arms and whimper until it was taken care of.

Hilarious.

Though, interestingly enough, the doc says this fear of hers is actually advanced. Usually happens to three-year-olds. Aren't we lucky???? Ha.

Gotta love days like these.

And gotta REALLY love that tomorrow is Friday.

Peace out.

Oh--the stats! Chicklet now weighs 15 pounds, 4 ounces and is 26.5 inches long. That makes her long and skinny, percentile-wise. Just like her sister (who weighs 28 pound now, FYI, and I'd love to tell you how tall she is, but I have no freaking idea, 'cause she was scu-reaming through that bit--ha).

:)
