Glow Worm

Yesterday, we had our second round of crafting fun via Kiwi Crate, and I was just as happy-happy-joy-joy pleased with it as with our first round (the Wind Car).

Seriously love this brand.

I haven't filled out the monthly mail subscription that they offer yet, so we just picked up another one of the projects that Target carries (Chica picked, hehe).

And, helloooooo Glow Worm!

Again, I'm so pleased by the simple creativity of the kits, and they all have a greater learning lesson, which is a bonus.

Chica was soooo pumped to play with the cotton padding that went into the sock for the worm's body.

This is her testing it out...

This is her saying, "You're really gonna let me play with this stuff??? Last chance to say no. My whole hand is touching!"

And this is her saying, "Wheeeee!"

Seriously. She had the happy giggles getting all the fluffy stuff in the sock  :)

Then after we put the rubber bands around the body, the felt stickers came next. Woohoo!

She placed every last one on that there worm ;)

Nice clustering. Such concentration.

We were supposed to give it a name, and the first one I offered up was "Clover," just like Clover the talking bunny from Sofia. Naturally, she was a fan. Ha.

Clover (who we've backtracked to just calling "Glow Worm" had to sit under a light to charge, and then--voila!--he glowed (Glew? Nope, not grammatically sound) in the dark closet.

And...ghetto glowing pic:

He's been happily dragged around the house, and even accompanied us on our visit to the pond today:

And what a lovely visit it was. Beautiful weather again. Perfect for exploring.

Little one is just dying to be able to run around in the great outdoors. Soon, my tiny love. Sooooon.

Another successful project and cute friend to add to our crafty collection.

Happy Hump Day, peeps!
