Trick Or Treating Tractor Style!

I just love, love our new neighborhood (though, is it still new to us if we've been here almost a YEAR?!!).

We have a beautiful, family-friendly environment, great neighbors, and super-fun activities--the biggest (and cutest!) of which, is the Halloween Tractor Event.

Apparently, trick or treating on Halloween is just nuts in our hood, so several years ago, the residents decided to dedicate a day prior to the holiday, just for our own kiddoes.

It goes a bit like this:
1. Cute kids congregate in costume.
2. Cute kids load onto bed of tractor.
3. Cute kids ride to designated stops, where kind neighbors come to the tractor and ply them with treats.
4. Cute kids OD on sugar.
5. Cute kids (who survive steps 1-4) soak up sugar with pizza.

I'll spare you a play-by-play, 'cause the pics pretty much speak for themselves. I'll just say that my Elsa and my Pumpkin had a blast. And nothing warms a Mama's holiday heart more than that!

And...photo explosion!

(Side note: that Wolverine on the end was so dang cute. He and I were buds.)

Chica sat next to our back door neighbor (the ladybug), who's about a year older and always friendly.

My sweet Chicklet was a happy trooper, enjoying the spectacle alongside the tractor from her perch on Mama's chest. Next year, my little love. Next year!

So lovely to spend some time outdoors with the neighbors, and so lovely to see my girlies enjoy it so.

Happy Sunday, peeps!
