Halloween 2014!

I could not have dreamt up a better Halloween for my girlies' first in our new neighborhood. Seriously, peeps, it was classic. Exactly what I hoped they'd have for their early childhood years.

Crisp, but not frigid weather.

The crunch of leaves underfoot.

Loads of kids and parents out.

And a bit of a chaotic start that made it all seem urgent and even more fun.

You see, we hadn't planned on the mania starting quite so early (though we'd been warned by neighbors it would be active), so when we returned home from our pizza dinner and saw kids already making the rounds, we had to hop on it--stat.

Chica was frantic to locate her sweet back door neighbor friends that we'd seen when pulling into the neighborhood, so forgive the lack of organized pics and enjoy the few I got before we headed out!

Okay, so for this round (versus last weekend's hay ride), I put Chicklet in Chica's fairy costume from last year, minus the huge wings, since she was going to be riding in the Bjorn.

You wanna cry with me??? Just look at my eldest one year ago...

I cannot even talk about how much she's grown. Seriously--CANNOT! I love my girls so dang much, I'm going to have to figure out a way to get them to STOP GROWING!!!

Sigh.

Anywho...here they both are (Chica as Elsa again, naturally).

And here they are, checking out the stash to be passed out to trick or treaters.

Again--I wish I'd gotten some more organized pics with better lighting, but our urgency left no time--ha. I do have about a dozen of them both headed in different directions, hehe.

Oh, and this one by the porch:

Once out, we spent about an hour roaming the streets, enjoying the atmosphere, scouting out for Chica's friends, and letting her walk up to a couple doors that she was willing to brave.

Then, just as we returned home to unwind, we got a text from our neighbors with their locale, and decided to pack back up (oye!) so Chica could finally see her little friend. Victory! (Along with a blurry pic).

When we finally made it home (poor Chicklet was cashed), we were just the right mix of cold, tired and hyped up that let us know we'd done it up right ;)

And now...FULL STEAM AHEAD to Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Happy Weekend and November, peeps!

P.S. I'll save my whining about Dayloght Savings for maƱana ;)

P.P.S. A couple bonus pics from Thursday.
