Moccasin Love!

So I'm one of those mothers (or maybe it's all mothers) that just has terrible luck keeping tiny shoes on tiny feetsies.

I mean, as irresistible as all those pint-size, freaking adorable shoes always are--I've learned the hard way (through too many Cinderella errand-running moments) that they just won't stay on my kiddies' feet.

So I pretty much just buy the cutest socks I can, save the adorable shoes for photo opps only, and just bide my time until the wee ones are walking and officially in need of little kickers that seem to stay on a tad better.

BUT...I've recently discovered something that's rocked my tiny footwear world. These I-DIE-THEY'RE-SO-CUTE moccasins:

A couple months ago, I saw a toddler in the mall with a gold pair, and I pretty much attacked her mother for the info on where she got them. She was so sweet and then slightly embarrassed when she gushed about them but said, "they're kinda expensive." So I guessed I was in for a bit of sticker shock.

And, yes, yes they are pricey. So pricey I won't even tell you the brand or you'll think I've lost ALL my freaking marbles. So I'll just give you my arguments for them instead (or at least, this is how the justification went in my mind):

1. They're sooooo cute.
2. They come in a gazillion cool colors.
3. I have not purchased a SINGLE pair of shoes (besides these) for my nearly 10-month-old daughter. So I was overdue. And they were a Christmas present, no less!
4. I mean, they're sooooo cute.
5. Such soft leather!
6. Easy elastic makes them a cinch to get on.
7. THEY STAY PUT (seriously, Chicklet has even tried her darnedest to get them off when she's bored in her car seat, but they don't budge!)
8. Did I mention the cuteness???
9. They're so soft and flexible, they're like an extension of her foot instead of some big clunky thing that hampers her movements.
10. I mean, seriously. They're adorable.

Okay, I'll stop now, but I really could go on and on. But I'll just show some more pics instead:

At least if you're an idiot (that'd be me) who will pay a pretty dime for baby shoes, it's nice to be thrilled with the purchase!

We'll be wearing these bad boys out.

(And then I can't be held responsible if I buy them in a bigger size--and maybe even a different color--and try to convince my hubby it's just the original pair. Maybe he wouldn't notice if they turned lavender??)

Sincerely,

Moccasin-Obsessed Mama
