Yarn Heart Wreath

I'm just gonna go ahead and spoil the finished product of our little art project for today, and show you this:

'Cause, come on--that made you smile, right???

I love my kids, hehe.

So to rewind...we started our project as usual, with Chica at her post in her Learning Tower, pumped about getting her craft on.

But I soon realized that it was gonna take about a gazillion hours (or at least longer than a toddler can be expected to pay attention) to wrap the yarn around the wreath. So we took a break and continued the project at random times throughout the day, and she got a total kick out of pulling the yarn through for me after each wrap.

I mean, just look at that face. She was really pulling that string with all her (cute) might.

So serious about her yarn art.

(Serious enough that sweet Chicklet caught on and decided to check out the happenings.)

She was more interested in munching on the yarn (naturally), but she still contributed :)

And then, after another short break, we added the pink accent yarn, and voila! Yarn heart wreath framing cute kid.

And another cute kid :)

Love my girlies and love that Chica's always up for projects. Makes this Mama's heart happy.

You might even say...Yearn Heart Happy.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

;)

Happy Thursday, peeps!
