Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt--2015

Today was our neighborhood egg hunt, and my crew was pretty pumped to show up, since we had a hilarious mishap last year where we ended up missing the whole dang thing by a day due to what I can only explain as a newborn (at the time) brain fog.

But anywho...this year's hunt.

We didn't think Daddy would be able to make it due to work, but we arrived at the pond with our double-stroller and enthusiasm, and low and behold...he made it! All of his ladies were so excited.

Most of the pics don't require any captions, so I'll just post since I'm tired and lazy and you love me anyway;

Naturally, Chica picked out her own basket at Target yesterday and--shocker!--went for the princesses. And then chose a Frozen basket for her sister, who didn't hunt for eggs this year, but still needed the proper gear :)

The Big Scary Easter Bunny made an appearance, and I must say, he was a very sweet bunny...

But poor Chicklet still shook like a leaf and bawled her eyes out if he got too close. And then kept a beady eye on him wherever he went...

One of Chica's eggs had a little popper toy in it that was a big hit:

Daddy had a crowd of little ladies following the popper wherever it flew:

Did I mention how glad we were that he made it??? :)

Since sweet Chicklet didn't get to hunt and couldn't eat most of the egg candy, I rewarded her patience with a ginormous cookie:

And my beloved girl happily finished the whole dang thing on the walk home:

Happy, happy, joy, joy.

Yay for sugar shock and Easter traditions!

HAPPY WEEKEND!
