Daddy's Shopping Spree

Today, we did a couple o' fun art projects that I was going to post about, but they're getting bumped to share something far cuter...

Last weekend, our foursome was out shopping when the hubby caught sight of a store with some kids' clothes that really caught his eye. But the girlies were a little nutty (translation: practically nuclear) and our time was short, so there was no chance to peruse.

So what did he do???

Today, during his lunch hour (in the midst of a very busy time period for him of late), he went back to that store, bought a gazillion things--seriously, like the equivalent of an entire wardrobe--and came home so excited to share with his wife and daughters.

I mean, is there anything in the world that could be sweeter???

If I told you how much he spent, you'd die (as I did). [No seriously--imagine the number right now in your head...and multiply it several times.] But it doesn't matter, for three reasons:

1. He waaaay overbought simply because he couldn't narrow down so he brought it all home so we could pick the keepers together.

2. Between myself, my mother, his mother, aunts, uncles, great aunts and, well, lots of other random people, he never gets to shop for the girls. So it's extra-special when he does, and I know it's because he genuinely wants to.

3. I mean, seriously, when your husband comes home beaming because he shopped for his baby girls, does anything really matter???

We spent nearly an hour after dinner having a hilarious and messy family fashion show in the playroom. Clothes and toys and naked tots were everywhere...but so were the smiles. It was such a special, silly night.

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I can think of no better gift than a husband who is such a loving father to our girls, and an abundantly rich provider for our welfare--financially, emotionally, and pretty much any other descriptor you could think of.

Love my fam.

Can't WAIT to see how much Daddy's next spree will cost when he's buying for three tots! ;)

Happy Tuesday, peeps!

(Sinuses are hurting, so rain must be a-comin'!)
