Then approximately half an hour after picking up said ice cream maker, we met Daddy for lunch--and Chica immediately spilled the beans about his present. Ha.
The funniest bit was that she wasn't enunciating clearly enough for him to fully understand, and he thought she was saying "cupcake maker." So she was adamant about repeating it over and over, trying to get him to understand.
So much for the element of surprise ;) The hazards of shopping with wee ones.
On the plus side, since the cat was out of the bag, we got to bust out the prize and go ahead and make some ice cream last night instead of waiting for tomorrow.

I think it's going to be a fun machine to have on hand. (Though the scale at my next OB checkup might not agree.) And Daddy was pretty dang pumped--so mission accomplished.
