Driven To Distraction

Well, peeps. It's official.

(Well, officially, two things are official, so just roll with me for a sec.)

First: our inaugural pool play on Wednesday was no fluke. We returned today and had a blast, just as before.

I mean, could they be any cuter??

Which leads me to my second point of the evening.

Apparently, my children are so cute that they are officially dangerous to drivers.

Today, as we were crossing the parking lot that leads to the pool, there was a gentleman pulling out of his spot.

He was reversing slowly, and since we were nearby and in his line of sight, Chica--sunglasses on; dressed in her white, swim cover-up with the hood pulled up like Rocky--waved to the gentleman, as she's likely to do these days.

Well, the gentleman kindly waved back as he continued reversing, and...rear-ended a car behind him.

Yup. It happened.

Honestly, it took me a bit to connect the noise of the minor crash with his exit from his running car (and by then, we were near the front door).

I'm not gonna lie, I felt sorry for him. And I also laughed. 'Cause I'm a bad person like that.

If the hit, parked vehicle was unmoved when we came back out an hour later (and honestly, I couldn't tell you what it looked like), there was no dent or crack, just a black mark--probably from the gentleman's bumper. So here's hoping it was no major drama.

But I'll try to keep a reign on my kids' cuteness from now on. (Though, who am I kidding? I don't think that's possible.)

And now, some random cute pics from dinner tonight.

Happy Weekend, peeps!
