Demoted And Lovin' It

So, remember a month or so ago when I mentioned I was demoting our beloved Kiwi Crate subscription to the younger age bracket subscription, the Koala Crate?

Well, we got our first delivery a few weeks ago and it was absolutely golden. Just poi-fect. Exactly the kind of simplified, Chica/Chicklet-friendly projects I was hoping to get back to, since the feats of engineering we'd been receiving lately have been a little too complicated (understatement alert).

I'm just now getting around to posting about it, because, a) I been busy, and, b) it contained three easy-breezy projects, and we just now finished the third one yesterday.

So now that we're done, lemme share a gazillion photos of the rainbow-themed fun:

The first project was a rainbow/cloud canvas bag. We started by placing a bunch of colored tissue paper squares on the bag...

And then took a plastic dropper and added some water so the color would bleed onto the canvas...

We left it to dry overnight and then peeled off the tissue paper, added some cloud stickers, and voila! (Kind of a badly lit picture of it, but you get the idea. If we would have been super-smart, we would've arranged the tissue paper in legit rainbow order, but we went rogue, ha.).

The second project was this stinking adorable rainbow cloud pillow. All we had to do was peel and place the rainbow stickers, then add in the stuffing and seal 'er up:

I love how Chica made a slight stank face the entire time she dealt with the stuffing, ha. Apparently sheloved it, but was simultaneously suspect of it, hehe. 

She luuuurved the finished product and even slept with it in her bed for a few nights :) Now it's loving in the tent in the playroom.

And lastly, for our rainbow-box theme...a stained glass picture (which, of course, is right up our alley).

We just had to peel the back off of this rectangle to reveal a sticky surface. And then we placed black cut out shapes wherever the heck we wanted...

Then layered on some more of that colored tissue paper...

Little Man even got in on the action...

By snagging a shape and eating it...

Best to stick to the play food, Little Man ;)

Luuuurv our demotion.

Luuuurv rainbows.

Luuuurv luuuuurv this ongoing delivery service (demoted or a slight challenge). I seriously think this will end up being in our lives for years and years.
