A Few Things Wicked This Way Come!

Well, peeps. It happened.

We officially made it rain Halloween all up in here, today.

I wasn't necessarily planning on starting the Spook-stravaganza quite yet, but I had a unicorn-like convergence of events today, including, but not limited to:

1. The prescription steroids that have done me no good whatsoever to combat this sick ick have unintentionally hyped me up. So I've been a project machine.

2. All three kiddos took afternoon naps. AT THE SAME TIME.

3. Who am I kidding? Do I really need any unicorn-like excuses to start decorating???

So...during aforementioned miraculous nap time, I trimmed some shrubs, pulled weeds, swept patios, switched out doormats, busted out Halloween wreaths and other tidbits, and...said a lot of four-letter words hanging up this huge-a** spider web on the patio (exterior pics to come later).

But it was totally worth it to see the look on the kiddos faces when they peeked out the dining room windows :)

I mean, I die.

Chica was literally running around like an adorable maniac, yelling, "Halloween's here! Halloween's here!" Ha. (And, naturally, Chicklet mimicked her. And don't even get me started on her adorable pronunciation of "pumpkins.")

And the hilarity and rambunctiousness continued straight through to bed time--as evidenced by this gaggle-tackle of m'children, who were supposed to be at the dinner table.

Love these crazy coconuts like mad.

And for one last piece of nuttiness--I happened to check a blog post from last year so I could remember what decorations I put on the mantle, and was instead sucked into a vortex of awe (it's a thing, peeps), when I realized: a) the girlies were so much younger, and, b) Little Man wasn't yet born!

At least I'm consistent with my early decorating. Last year it was all out by September 10th ;)

Happy Seasonal Snowball Start!
