Indian Summer

Around 2 am this morning, we had a fabulous thunderstorm that ushered in a break in the heat--finally.

And though I'm not entirely convinced it will last (this is Texas in the Fall, after all), I'll take what I can get.

Especially considering our days are numbered--literally--until Daylight Savings and that terrible loss of the sunlit hour when my kiddos are at their crankiest.

So long, evening walks (in a matter of weeks). I already mourn you!

So in honor of soaking up the last of this Indian Summer time frame, here are some pics from yesterday's very hot with my adorable, but kinda complainy (it's a word) kiddos.

This one, I like to call:

"Four-Year-Old Exaggerating Heat Stroke"

And this one is:

"Grass Fed Piggies"

"Three Ducks In A Row"

"I Know Pronounce You Leafed And Merry"

And, finally...

"Charmer"

Happy Almost-Friday, peeps.
