A Timely Godmother Visit

So, let's just come right out and say it all together:

The Fall Daylight Savings change stiiiiinks.

(Or some other far more colorful and mostly four-letter words).

Yes, yes, the extra hour of sleep would be heavenly--if somebody would give that memo to my oblivious children.

And on the flip side of the day--man oh man is it tough to operate within the confines of the house when it's pitch dark so early. Boooooo.

But. This happens every year, right? And every year we adjust to the new normal. It just takes a bit.

And you know what helps???

A fantastically-timed, been-looking-forward-to-it-for-weeks visit by the kiddos' godmother (and her cousin, too)!

For the LOVE of all that is HOLY, it does my heart good to see her!

We haven't dragged her to Dallas since January, when she was in town for Little Man's baptism. (Coincidentally, that was also a fantastically-timed visit, since January is officially the let down month, and it was so nice to have something wonderful on the books!)

We saw her yesterday for a bit, and we'll see her again in a few days, once she back from another leg of her trip. Woohoo!

Other than that, I'm actually looking forward to a relatively low-key week (fingers crossed).

Over and out, peeps.
