Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest

Okay...second catch-up post for tonight!

Oh my heavens, I've been plotting to do this fun little Christmas activity for years, but never pulled the trigger before now.

Ugly. Christmas. Sweater. Kits.

Earlier in the month, when Target was stocked with a bunch and I wouldn't overthink it, I just tossed them in the cart and went for it, and I'm so glad I did!

Each kit came with a surprisingly nice sweater, and a bunch o' nifty supplies to spark creativity, and the process was hilarious.

As soon as the kids were down last night (Christmas Eve), I gave everybody an hour to work their sweater magic, and told them that the girlies would pick their favorite in the morning and crown them the "winner."

Spoiler alert: I won.

'Cause I played to my audience and made an Owlette for my sweater, and Chica couldn't resist her beloved PJ Masks alter-ego. ;)

Seriously can't say enough fun things about the process, the competitive spirit, the hilarious inner workings of everybody's crafty brains...and the joy of doing a non-electronic activity together.

I heart. A lot.
