Valentine's Day 2017

We really did Valentine's up right this year.

There were projects (upon projects), there were decorations, there were daily mailbox treats, there were goodies from grandparents, there were dance class and school valentine exchanges, there were mailed valentines, there were heart leggings...and that was all before the actual day, ha.

And then on the actual day, the kiddos received Trolls from Mama (cue: squeals of joy and immediate fighting over Poppy), and when we met Daddy after work for a nice dinner out, all the ladies got flowers and earrings, and Little Man got the best example of how to lovingly spoil some women.

But.

But.

The very, very best part of our whole, blessed day: at dinner, a husband and wife at a nearby table approached us as they left and said our family was beautiful to watch and that, "you can see the joy of The Lord shining through you all."

And I cried.

Like, not just misty-eyed, but had to take a few minutes to pull it together, ha.

We are sooooo beyond blessed to share such superfluous holiday hoopla like this. But if it brings joy to my family's life and we can bring joy to others. Well, that's a Happy Valentine's Day, indeed.
