Windowsill of Treasures

In case I haven't made it abundantly clear on this here blog, my beloved, mischievous Little Man is into everything of late.

And I mean everything.

So it's a bit of a challenge for Chica to keep her prized possessions out of his grasp.

Enter: the windowsill.

Her bedroom windowsill has become her safe place and display case rolled into one.

Note--only the left windowsill is truly safe, as my climbing son has figured out how to finagle is way to his sister's goods on the right side by hauling himself up onto the chair-back, ha.

Chica dutifully stores her projects, school worksheets and special trinkets there to keep them from being crumpled or disassembled.

Her current trove: a battery-powered candle from Christmas, some decorated valentine hearts, our hand-stitched heart people, her foil art, and a school worksheet.

She luuurvs surveying her lovely display there. And I love seeing it. Though, I'm not gonna lie--it's a little tricky opening and closing the shade without disrupting the masses, ha.

I think someday, she might really love a cork board or some sort of shadow box to show off all her goods. But for now, we'll keep on filling up the windowsill until we run out of room.

;)
