Butterflies & More Butterflies

So...our intent in going to the nature sanctuary this weekend was to see the butterfly exhibit.

But.

Call it a Mama Fail that the exhibit doesn't open for a few more weeks and "we" didn't check before going on our excursion, ha.

No matter. We have a season pass now and will go back in a few weeks. And, fortunately, even without the exhibit, we've got butterflies coming out our ears 'round these parts, thanks to two recent projects.

The first, we picked up on our fun Walmart excursion a week or so ago.

 

    

 

   

We've done one of these particular kits before (a turtle one) and they actually come with enough supplies to make 24 (yup, 24!) butterflies. And even for my crafty family, that's a bit excessive for one project, ha.

So we're gifting a handful of unmade supplies to some friends, so we can spread the joy. :)

And like I said--we've got butterflies coming out the wazoo right now, since we bought a second project, as well. And even though I set it aside for a rainy day, Chicklet found it, gave me the doe eyes and asked to do it with a pleeeease, and I was done for.

   

It's been nice to tackle a handful of projects of late, with only minor messes wrought by Little Man.

Baby steps, peeps. Baby steps.
