A Nature Outing

So...Daddy was away for a couple days on business (boooo) but he's back now (wohoo!), and Grandma Dada has been here for some fun in his stead.

We've had a few fun and busy days, and made a spur-of-the-moment visit to our lovely nature sanctuary today.

The kiddos have been begging to go there for the butterfly exhibit we missed last time--and for the snakes (caged, not free-slitherin', though there are supposedly lots of those, as well, ha) that Chicklet is obsessed with these days.

It was the perfect day for it (hence the spur-of-the-moment-ness) because it was cloudy, so it wasn't boiling outdoors.

Definitely a fun outing, and awesomsauce to utilize our nifty family pass for the first time since springing for it.

Chica unhelpfully spotting the wasps that were inside the exhibit, thereby freaking everybody out, when they were already uneasy about the flitting butterflies everywhere, ha...  

Needless to say, they experienced a rainbow of emotions as they quickly walked through...

It's been another fun week with swim lessons manana before the weekend kicks in!
