Chunkies!

So...the other day at dance class, one of the mamas mentioned some paint sticks that her kiddos loved and spent oodles of time with.

So, naturally, I wrote down the name of her recommendation.

And then came home and realized we already had 'em.

See, this is the beauty of our craft closet. I stash away gifts from others and random finds all the time, and manage to bust them out when the time is just right!

Truly, it's like Christmas twice-over when we forget everything that's in that fun closet and rediscover it on a perfect day. And today was one of those.

:)

Spoiler alert: the kiddos luuuuurved them.

And the girlies (minus brother, who was napping for the first part of the fun) painted for a FULL HOUR. Which, of course, in Mama World is like, a gosh-dang miracle!! (And for the record, they probably would've kept going if Little Man hadn't started eating the crafts, ha.)

And now...pics!

Inspired by a recent school project, Chica went a little rogue, coloring her hand so she could press a handprint to her paper, ha.

And I'm not gonna lie--I was wildly impressed with Chicklet's focus and engagement in this painting fun. She was quite deliberate about the colors she used and even created some shapes. My beautiful girl is growing up so much these days!

Last note for anybody who's curious--the chunkies were pleasantly mess-free! They're sort of the consistency of lipstick so they stay put quite well and dry fast, and in the instance of some elbow-leaning, they cleaned off easily.

Yay for this fun, new source of creativity!

Happy Monday, peeps!
