First Days of Summer Project Roundup!

So...today marked our official return to normal lifeasweknowit. The hubby went back to work, and we went back to our daily shenanigans.

And it was a good day.

With lots o' shenanigans.

My babies were happy and rowdy, it truly felt like the start of summer, and we enjoyed lots of little things--including, but not limited to: projects, games, play time, lunch with Daddy, a lovely thunderstorm, and a homemade apple pie.

Perfecto, yes?

So here are my crazies looking all adorable and mischievous, and then I'll launch into a recap of a bunch of little projects we've tackled without any chance to post about them during the craziness of the last few weeks.

First up: we painted the pieces to our new wind chime today, and the girlies were totally into it. :) And, I set Little Man up with some mess-free, gel fingerpaint to keep him occupied, and he totally dug it.

I mean, could Chica look any older in this pic??? My heart can't handle it!

STOP GROWING!!! Immediately, if not sooner!

Next up: this is a fun peel and press mosaic type thing, similar to half-a-dozen we've completed before.

But.

This one is notable because my beautiful Chicklet was totally into it for the first time.

And, she adorably showed off the finished product to anybody who came into the playroom for days afterward.

Precious

Third up: these fun, magnetic butterflies that we painted over the course of a couple different days.

Again, this round was notable because Chicklet came across the project in its box and asked to paint with an impossible-to-resist pleeeeease

I love that she's showing increased interest these days. My girl is growing. :)

And lastly, for our project roundup--these fun, stained-glass-like window thingies (technical term). We hung them in the playroom at long last today (after painting them a couple of weeks ago), and it was jolly good fun.

Though these projects seem abundant, all posted together like this, our chances to complete them have been fewer and farther between, of late. What with the end-of-school-year type of craziness.

But.

We've got refreshed zest (hehe, that sounds funny) for creativity as we kick off the summer, and I'm grateful for the rotation of activities we're facing at the start of this summer.

It's good to feel a bit of a renewal in these early days of June. Before the dog days hit.

Looking forward to the rest of our change-up week. Here's hoping I make it to Friday with my positive outlook, ha.

:)
