Easter Egg Butterflies

Okie dokie, artichokie.

Next up in our stuck-in-the-car catch-up posts:

Painted Easter eggs that we turned into butterflies and other fun bugs. :)

We bought some fake eggs so they’d be a little lighter for the finished product.

Then the kiddos had a blast painting a dozen of ‘em (because they adore them some painting), and then we let them dry overnight.

I was actually wildly impressed with Little Man’s technique. He managed to get his whole dang eggs painted in a fun, marble style. Probably because he wasn’t afraid to get a bit messy. ;)

So the next day, once they were dry, we busted out our fun butterfly and bug shells. And added a bit of flair like eyeballs and what not.

They’re pretty darn cute, and we meant to mail them to family before Easter. But, well...best laid plans fell by the wayside. We’ve been busy!

But I’m still happy we managed to fit in just a couple of Easter/Spring projects amidst our crazy few weeks.

Because a couple is better than nada!

:)
