Wisconsin 2018–Day 2

Okay, peeps, I mean seriously.

It’s almost obnoxious how gorgeous and fun-filled and happy and Wisconsin-y and did I mention gorgeous today was.

Also,  it’s most definitely obnoxious the obscene number of photos I took. But here you are lookin’ at ‘em, so I guess we’re even. ;)

That said, it’s late, I’m wiped, my first kiddo (Little Man) got me up at 6:06 a.m., and we’ve got more planned for tomorrow. So here’s some light caption commentary before I crash...

After a yummy breakfast out, we hit up the Farmers Market for some happy exploring for flowers and yummy treats with kiddos who were thrilled to be out in the beautiful weather.

I mean, could they be any cuter??? I lurv their orange and cornflower blue outfits today. This might be my newest favorite trio photo.

And this, I mean, THIS, is now one of my all-time favorite Chicklet photos ever.  I die.

And I also hate that she’s sprouted taller and leaner and won’t stop growing!!!

Next up, on the way back home for a quick pit-stop to regroup, we stopped at Sheboygan Falls (side note: Sheboygan is now one of my new favorite words to say, ‘cause it’s just funny). And I can’t believe we thought about not getting out of the car, because it was just lovely.

I mean, just picture gold today, peeps.

And speaking of golden...while we were home for a few, the kiddos got some cat encounters that thrilled them to bits and pieces and bits.

Next up...off to Bookworm Gardens for a fun lady bug release and story time today. :)

The whole place was just completely charming, and the lady bugs were just bonus points.

Each kiddos got their own lady bug to clutch in their palm and Carey anywhere in the gardens to release. Too fun. :)

A little taste of local honey from the bees that were right there.

I adore this shot and Chica’s expression here.

Next up, we forced a bit of quiet time at home before heading back out for...the lake and the beach! I mean, how much fun could we possibly pack in?!

Chicklet was busy, busy, busy, hauling buckets of water and pouring and digging nonstop

And then Chica went nuts when she found a ladybug (that in retrospect, very well could have been a stowaway from the Bookworm Gardens).

The dang ladybug stayed with her for the entire time we were there, and she was exploding with happiness, saying things like: I can’t believe this is happening to me, and I’ve always wanted a pet, and this is a miracle, and I cannot even believe my eyes, and I’m about to cry—happy tears.

I seriously kid you not.

I mean, the ladybug survived two drops in the sand and is home with us (hopefully still alive in its Tupperware) as we speak. Hilarious. It made her century.

I mean, in case it’s not obvious, my babies were insanely happy. Best Day status.

And then we went home and ate (burgers and hot dogs on the grill outside) and made s’mores!

I mean...beautiful day, beautiful town, beautiful memories. So grateful.

More mañana!

Over and out.
