A Llama And A Dinosaur

So, I know what you’re thinking:

A llama and a dinosaur?? Say, what?

No, this is not the start of some elaborate joke (though it totally should be: so a llama and a dinosaur walk into a bar...). It’s simply the awesomesauce that is Halloween Season!

Yup, peeps.

We’re full-on spooky ‘round here.

Decorations are out. Ghost wreaths are on the windows. Orange and black is the new orange is the new black (hold up, that made no sense). Anywho...

We. Are. Pumped.

And all over this spooktastic season.

And since Little Man declared eons ago that we was going to be a T-Rex this year, when the costume we selected went on an early-bird sale, I pulled the trigger ASAP. And he’s worn the dang thing at some point every day since.

I mean...

When the shipment arrived, he raced to the front door and tore through the packaging.

I mean, he could not be any cuter—and the costume is just perfection.

He seriously requests it at random times throughout the day—just to give the mundane (like breakfast) a little more flair, ha.

A bonus to the awesomesauce—the costume comes complete with a little battery pack so the spikes along the back light up in the dark. It’s fantastic fun, and will be fabulous come trick-or-treating. :)

And clearly, the thing is flexible enough for all of his important daily tasks.

And now...as if things could get any more hilariously cute around this casa, Chicklet fell in instalove with a costume this past weekend at TJMaxx and just had, had, had to have it.

Yup, peeps. It’s a llama.

Though to her, it’s mostly a horse. And it’s so amazingly, stupendously funny and awesome that I die

She was, like, vibrating with joy over this costume.

And for the decent price of $24.99, I could care less if it’s still her selection come Halloween, because she love, love, loves it, and it’s brought her crazy-mad joy.

She’s slept with it beside her every night this week, takes it along on school drop-off and pick-ups, and wears it whenever she’s given the Mama green light—which is pretty much anytime except during a meal, ha.

I love this girlie and her flair for the wild things.

Oh—and for anyone who’s keeping track, she missed her first day of school for the year, a mere two weeks in (oye!) when she was running a fever Monday night and into Tuesday morning. But whatever viral funk she was fighting (along with a terrrible cough) has passed fairly quickly, so I guess that’s something to be grateful for!

I have much, much, MUCH more to share on lots o’ silly things around here, but I’m sooooo EXHAUSTED (we had some landscaping fun today, a dance class, a play date afterwards, then lunch, some major cleaning [so you could see the playroom floor again], followed by another play date after Chica was home from school [different peeps]...with a lot of other activities and to-dos thrown in there.

I feel like I’m asleep, but my eyelids are apparently still open and my fingers are typing.

NyQuil, you will be my friend tonight (did I mention Chicklet’s viral gunk has plagued me, as well, and I only got four hours of sleep last night???).

Peace out, peeps.

And...HAPPY HALLOWEEN SEASON!
