Front Tooth Gap & Summer Art Challenge Display

Oh my heavens, YET AGAIN, I have a gazillion things I wanna post, but these tidbits will have to do until more time allows (like in 18 years or so, yes??).

Anywho...

This happened tonight:

The big front-tooth, gappy milestone! Woohoo!!

The dang thing had been crazy loose for ages and ages, but I was afraid to mess with it.

No need, apparently, because Daddy came home, raucous playing ensued, and next thing I know, she’s rushing into the kitchen with a bleeding mouth, ha.

This was the game that “nudged” the tooth along. Some sort of hilarious, disaster-in-the-making where Daddy hauls all three kiddos around the hardwood on a blanket, zooming as fast as he can.

A jolly good time for all. ;)

I was thrilled she wasn’t upset with the newest tooth gap, and I think I know why she was so chill about it. She reported at bedtime that one of her school friends told her the other day that, “when you lose both top teeth, you’re adorable,” ha. So, apparently, Chica’s halfway there. :)

It was also a riot when she said, “hey—I can feel the wind move when I said the ‘F’ letter.” Hehe.

So long as it’s not the F word, m’dear. ;)

And whilst we’re talking about Chica...here’s one little wrap-up I’ve been meaning to post. It’s about Chica’s Summer Art Challenge!

The students had a couple weeks at the start of the school year to turn in any projects they accomplished—and then two weeks ago, the art teacher made a display case out of them, and handed out prizes to kiddos who completed each level.

I don’t typically post pics with other kiddos’ faces without permission, but the school did, so I’m gonna. :) The boy is in her class, and completed some challenges, too. Since Chica tackled the top level of projects (15 or more) she got this pack of nifty, sparkle pens that she’s pretty pumped about. Oh, and it was crazy hat/hair/sock day, in case you’re wondering.

A ton of Chica’s art is happily displayed in one of the school hallways (everything on that middle row, and part of her t-shirt can be seen on that top row). I think she’s pretty proud of her efforts, and it’s definitely something I’ll look forward to next summer, as well. :)

Okay, much more tomorrow, I hope.

For now...HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!
