ICE! Fun

So...somewhere along the way, it became a happy, holiday, frozen tradition of ours to attend the massive Gaylord ICE! exhibit with mi familia.

I think this was our fourth or fifth time going (the day after Christmas, this year)—and I gotta say, it was actually my favorite, yet!

The gist is that it’s a fun but frigid, themed, arctic tundra (I exaggerate, but only a wee bit) that you walk through and enjoy—whilst trying to keep all your extremities warm, with the help of the giant, super-fashionable blue coat they give you.

We’ve seen a handful of themes over the years (The Grinch, Frosty...and a few others that m’brain cannot recall at the moment), but this year’s Rudolph setup was jolly and familiar, and lovely.

And, I didn’t have to hold any crying, snotting (from the extreme cold and the crying) children this year, so it was all very happy and easy-breezy—even with the large crowds that always turn out for the weeks of this exhibit.

Oh, and the ice slides are always the big hit with my kiddos—and this year was no exception. Especially for Little Man, who was able to go on his own (over and over) for the first time this year. Woohoo!

Yet again—such a fun holiday outing for us. Always unique and worth the trek there. And a lovely way to wrap up our busy but wonderful days with family in town. :)
