Spa Treat!

So...Saturday brought some no bueno car news (a story I’ll share another day, and also, 2019, you are beating us down!).

But instead of focusing on another frustrating and expensive occurrence...I chose to bury my head in the sand and do something happy instead, ha.

I mean, who says avoidance isn’t a fabulous tactic, amiright??? ;)

And my particular avoidance technique of the day just so happened to be...mani/pedis! Woohoo! With my eldest, who was treated to the special nail outing as a reward for her fan-freaking-tastic grades and happy disposition this school year. 

I’m seriously so proud of her, and I wanted to do something special. She is such a girly girl and really adored our previous “spa” outing. So it was a no-brainer for this to be her reward.



We invited Chicklet to come along, too (the more of my babies, the merrier), but she’s still a little wary of the process, after that one time last summer I took her to get her nails done while she had her leg in the cast (man, oh, man, was that a “fun” time last summer—oye!), and she was a little too freaked by the process.

I have a feeling someday she’ll think otherwise, ha.

In the meantime...it was a joy to bring my girlie for a little well-deserved spoiling.



We’re really really marinating in these early summer vibes at the moment, peeps. We did a massive grocery run today, and I’ve finally finally kicked off some much-needed cooking catch-up (Parmesan Panko chicken tonight, at the hubby’s request).

Our kitchen cabinet doors should finally be installed later this week, I have some curtains arriving that I’m really pumped about...and tomorrow, my girlies are going to Vacation Bible School for the first time!

So lots o’ fun things to focus on this week, and I hope to keep the happy and productive vibes going—car heinousness or not!
