Super New Super Hero Obsession

Okay, peeps. We have a new love affair going on in our casa. Like, a massive love affair via our beloved nighttime superhero show:

A new character had been introduced that’s a magical flute-wielding, dragon warrior (hardcore awesomesauce, yes? Ha.). And Chica is all in.

Only problem...my kiddos lurv role play and always have, but this character is so, dang new, and technically just a support character, so there’s no merchandise to buy. Booo.

But my girlie was begging for something to wear, so...Mama had to get a bit creative, ha.

I examined the headpiece from all TV angles, and got to work with some trusty supplies.

Hilariously, on Saturday afternoon, Daddy and I were spending our only free hour while the kiddos were having “quiet” time doing arts and crafts on their behalf, ha.

He was creating a super authentic treasure hunt for them (complete with burned map), and I was deep in the costume headdress making. Dedication, I tell ya.

Luckily, the dedication paid off for this sweet and lovable girlie o’ mine.

She was pumped when we finally glued the pieces on the headband this morning. And I was grateful that she was happy and non-judgmental of any discrepancies, ha.

Little Man hilariously jumped in, pirate-style (he fancies himself a pirate a lot this past week, hehe).

This is his frustrated-with-life posture when his sisters joined in on his pirate song that he wanted to sing alone, ha.

Love the smiles from this levity. :)

And I love our motley crew of superheroes. :)

Look at Chica being all serious and in-character here. ;)

In other news...I dumped my hyped up trio in the car this afternoon to go on an ice cream run, and they were wild and crazy, ha. It was our first soft-serve from McDonald’s in more than two months! Sugar high!

So in summary...we are crazy and superheroed around here.

And...the kiddos had their final summer swim lesson tonight, and we’re sad (we love our instructor!), but they made such wonderful progress, week over week. I’m a proud Mama. :)

Happy It-Feels-Like-It-Should-Be-Thursday, peeps.

Over and out.
