Pajamas & Projects—October 2019 Edition

Hellooooo, from the flip side of vacay!

We are still basking in the gratitude glow of our spontaneous, majorly fun little trip that was just the perfect adventure and shake-up for us.

But I gotta say—it’s been equally as wonderful to have some time since returning before everyone has to be back in school.

We returned on Saturday and had a low-key afternoon with some outdoor, neighborhood playground fun. And then yesterday, we had a lovely agenda of church, grocery shopping and some bonus exploration time in the nature preserve.

And all of it was made so much better by some cooler weather! Much less of a temperature shock since returning from Colorado.

Alas...it’s back up to 90 degrees today, though I don’t think it will hang around for long. But we didn’t mind so much since we decided to take advantage of the holiday today by lounging around inside in our pjs and doing lots o’ Halloween projects!

Officially, it was a Pajamas & Project Day (which we’ve had oodles of times, but never titled it, ha). I sort of hyped it up for the last day or two, and the kiddos literally woke (after sleeping in an extra 90 minutes past their usual school wake-up time!) totally ready to craft it up! Ha.

Now more than ever, I feel like our schedules are so packed and our to-do lists are so long, that it’s hard to fit in all the project fun that we enjoy so much. But we’re making a concentrated effort to really enjoy, enjoy, enjoy all the Halloween crafts that we can in the next two weeks, and today was a great start!

So...here’s some pics of our wooden Halloween-cutout painting, Halloween shrink art, and spooky Whoooo-Pie treats.

Needless to say, the fun was had, and the messes were substantial. :)

Making it rain glitter on top of their paint, ha.

We might try to fit in one more project tonight after dance class, and then it’s off to bed early before our return to the real world tomorrow.

More tomorrow about our transition in to the second nine weeks of school and all that entails!

Happy Monday, peeps.

Over and out.
