Distancing Day 7: Churches & Church!

Well, m’peeps.

We’ve completed an entire week of distancing (longer by several days for our family, but we began our official tally with the cancelation of school), and the weekend was certainly a bit odd.

Because it was pretty much the same.

But also felt different.

Descriptive, I know. ;)

But today’s activity of note was participating in our streaming church service.

It was quite lovely and familiar, and will be a wonderful touch point for the next few weeks as we’re unable to worship together as a congregation, which feels particular bittersweet as we’re in the heart of Lent.

Alas, I’m grateful to have any sort of connection to the service, so, Amen, for technology!

Also...because it was Sunday, and we needed a diversion of the project variety, we built our own little churches in honor of the day, before the service began steaming. :)

Kind of fun to “attend” the service in our pajamas. :)

In other we-kept-ourselves-busy-news...here’s the cake we baked:

And here are a couple pics of the rainy walk we forced just before dinner, because we had to get fresh air.

Hoping for better weather in the coming days, to allow for happier backyard, blowing-off-steam play.

And intrigued to see how the school day goes tomorrow, now that we have official distancing assignments.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and sane.

Over and out.
