Out With A Splash!

Oh, my beautiful, smiley babies, I love you like crazy (emphasis on the crazy).

We’re only a couple hours from home after a long day of driving (and this very silly, smiley lunch/restroom stop in Dallas), and though I’m so happy to be nearing our own casa, we had such a wonderful trip to see family that it’s always a bit sad to leave.

Luckily, we have these crazies as a solid distraction from any bittersweet feelings, and I’ll admit to looking forward to digging back into our routine for these final days of summer we have left.

And, blessedly, we ended our Tulsa trip on a happy, splashy high note last night before bedtime. With some water balloon fun that the kiddos enjoyed a lot, a lot. :)

So grateful for the opportunity to spend so many consecutive days bouncing between grandparents and happy, socially-distanced, summer activities.

They are so loved and so entertained while we’re up there—it’s a blessing to have them cultivate such lovely childhood memories in the place the hubby and I grew up.

Now wishing for health and no cooties picked up along our road travels and activities. And to really live it up—or perhaps, laze it up—for these final two weeks before the school year begins.

Happy August, peeps.

Over and out.
