My Little Assembly Elves

Oh my goodness, we had the best little family evening tonight, sort of spur of the moment. But I’m gonna have to share that post mañana, as I’m just too, dang tired to sort through pictures at the moment.

Instead, I give you a few sweet pics of my babies right after school, beginning to assemble some little goodies to give to their classmates next Friday before the Winter Break.

(Again with the getting-things-done-a-bit-ahead-of-last-minute vibe. Little Man’s face pretty much sums up my feelings on this subject, tehe.)

I think these little reindeer lollipop holders are pretty presh. Snagged them from Hobby Lobby. And it was a major bonus that we happened to have a giant unopened bag of lollipops left over from Halloween.

We’re going to attach the reindeers to the outside of some little treat bags we assemble another day (and fill with even more unopened leftover Halloween candy, ha. Shhh, don’t tell.)

Chica, in particular, really loved this simple task. Kept saying over and over, “you’re the best Mama, EVER. Thanks so much for letting us do this.” Ha. Maybe I should put them to work more often. ;)

And, naturally, they enjoyed sampling the sweets.

Unenthusiastic smile alert:

Love my little helper elves.

And look how cozy they can be. :)

I bought these new pillows today and they’re tres soft. The biggest one is going back because it’s too giant for the couch, but it’s fun to have a bit of throw pillow change-up for the season.

Stay healthy, stay sane, peeps.

Also—how is tomorrow only Wednesday???

Over and out.
